Advanced botanic solutions for Earth and Space
Interstellar Lab is a pioneering bio-farming company dedicated to preserving life on Earth and extending it to the cosmos. With the support of esteemed organisations like NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA), Interstellar is crafting, manufacturing, and operating controlled-environment pods that mimic the ideal conditions for diverse plants, vegetables, fungi, and microorganisms, accelerating their growth and productivity. Currently, the company boasts multiple fully operational BioPods, nurturing a wide array of microgreens and rare botanicals, including endangered species. These BioPods serve various applications in healthcare, cosmetics, agriculture, and biodiversity conservation.

Expanding life on Earth
The biggest challenge was communicating that the Interstellar Pods are no longer mere concepts. The website showcases tangible, fully operational systems ready for acquisition, licensing, and deployment. The BioPod is the most advanced solution for reducing the land footprint and preserving biodiversity. It operates with recycled water and produces no waste. All the assets on the website (including custom illustrations and photography) aim to highlight the product's commercial applications, showcasing its potential.

Accelerating life in Space
Interstellar's vision is to establish BioPods on the Moon and Mars. To reflect the brand's innovative spirit, we crafted a user interface that is minimal yet impactful, allowing the narrative and content to take centre stage. We also incorporated interactive elements such as the orbit that explains Interstellar's endeavours in Space, and scroll-triggered videos that further highlight Interstellar’s mission on Earth and beyond. The new art direction inspires trust and credibility, setting the stage for effective future communications.

My Role:
Working with the Creative Director and Design Lead, I developed multiple concepts and layouts to create visually effective modules communicating Interstellar's value proposition. The interactive orbit module on the space page was a key highlight. Once the main pages were designed, I implemented a design system for consistent modules, colours, and fonts across the site.
